The state is re-writing the literacy plan to submit to Obama's USDE and it is known as the "Striving Readers Comprehensive Literacy" plan. CFT member Carla Herrera, of the ABC Federation, has participated in the development of this new plan.
If you have concerns about literacy instruction now is the time to provide public comment on the first "public draft" of the Striving Readers document. This should be of particular concern to those involved with the EL population.
